Statement of Beliefs
We believe that education should prepare children for life now and life hereafter.
We believe that children learn by example; therefore, Christ-like teachers are the foundation upon which our school stands.
We believe that education begins at home; therefore, we encourage mutual interdependence between the home and school.
We believe that good education should excite all of a child's senses.
We believe that children should be encouraged to express themselves creatively.
We believe that children should be encouraged to actively participate in learning.
We believe that children should be encouraged to develop socially, and should be taught appreciation and respect.
We believe that education should meet the needs of children, not the other way around.
We believe that school should be a place loved by children.
Spiritual
As important as encouraging academic success in our students is providing our students with a proper spiritual framework in which to understand the world. That is why, at Shepherd Christian School, we provide spiritual guidance and Bible-based instruction both in and out of the classroom. And we practice what we preach. All of our instructors and administrative staff are dedicated to exemplifying Christian living each day, in every interaction with our students. By allowing Christ to guide our hands and inform our teaching, the minds of our students are enriched by more than just the worldly knowledge.
